What is VGFF?
VeryGoodFlyFishing began in 2020 as a creative outlet from my life as a filmmaker and Director of Photography in Rochester, NY. After years in the agency grind, I realized I wasn’t giving myself space to do what I loved most telling stories and spending time outdoors. Fly fishing became that escape, and over the last five years it’s grown into what VeryGoodFlyFishing is today.
My wife T and I committed fully to the journey, moving into a van and spending three years traveling the country to learn from anglers everywhere from the Deschutes River in Oregon to a month in the Florida Keys studying tarpon with some of the greats.
We’ve recently settled in a quiet mountain town in the Adirondacks, a place I’ve returned to for years and now get to explore every day. Here, I get to pair my love for filmmaking with the lifestyle that fuels it.
VeryGoodFlyFishing has become my place to share those stories and I’m grateful that over 40,000 people are along for the ride.
